At five years old, Jillian (Jill) Smith began her yoga journey watching her Iranian grandfather practicing prayer and yoga. She discovered she had a passion to share the benefits that yoga can bring to a person. When not working as a domestic violence Advocate, Jill spends her time teaching classical Hatha and Kundalini Yoga and conducting specialized yoga classes for various clients and groups. Jill received her Registered Yoga School teaching credentials, having completed 200 hours of yoga study and practice at the school of Yogalution and Ayurveda. She has also received the Kidding Around Yoga Teacher training certificate, and she has achieved a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from California State University of Dominguez Hills. She is also a musician singing and playing devotional music known as Kirtan, as well as creating healing sacred sound vibrations from the didgeridoo an instrument from Aborigines of Australia. Jill believes strongly in the healing powers that yoga can provide and wants to share her knowledge and passion for health with the community. She loves yoga because it relaxes and rejuvenates the mind, body, and soul and she believes it helps to keep balance in life. Jill aims to provide a calming, fun, and effective yoga experience for every student and continues to expand her knowledge through ongoing study with mentors and participating in Buddhist meditation.
